I have undertaken a Covid-19 risk assessment for the counselling work to resume, in addition to the clinic’s risk assessments, and I will review this on a weekly basis. Due to this, appointments will now last between 45-50 minutes to allow appropriate safety / cleaning measures between appointment times, as below.
My commitment to you:
I will check my temperature each day ahead of meeting with clients, and I will cancel appointments if I am showing any of the Covid-19 symptoms.
I will undertake a pre-screening telephone call with you ahead of your first appointment to clarify details on your health & answer any questions, in line with the clinic’s policy.
I will ensure the room, chair, hard surfaces including door handles and surround are disinfected between each appointment.
I will wash / sanitise my hands between each appointment.
I will ensure the room is ventilated between each appointment, and we will negotiate whether the window remains open during each appointment.
I will wear a visor and gloves when collecting clients from the front door, and during the appointment, in line with the clinic’s policy, and I will manage the opening / closing of the doors.
I will continue to keep your information confidential however I will need to share your name and contact details if required by NHS Track & Trace – however it will not be shared in what context I have had contact with you
My request of you:
To monitor yourself for symptoms and cancel your appointment if showing any of the signs of Covid-19 – a new persistent cough, raised temperature, loss of taste or smell. There will be no charge if last minute cancellation is due to reducing risk of spreading Covid-19.
To only arrive at your appointment time, to wait outside the clinic and to wait for me to collect you for your appointment.
To agree to having your temperature taken ahead of entering the clinic, in line with the clinic’s policy.
To follow all signage and government advice when visiting the clinic, to wash hands or use a sanitiser on arrival, and wear a face covering when arriving / leaving the clinic, in line with the clinic’s policy.
Wherever possible, to pay for your appointment via BACS following your visit to the clinic.
To notify me if you show symptoms of Covid-19 up to 3 days following your appointment.
